Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has warned Premier League rivals that the club will use the pain of losing the title to Arsenal as motivation for next season.
City’s title hopes officially ended after a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth handed Arsenal the 2025-26 Premier League crown with one match remaining.
Haaland scored a late equaliser during the tense encounter at the Vitality Stadium, but Pep Guardiola’s side failed to find the winning goal needed to keep the title race alive.
The result confirmed City would finish the season as runners-up behind Mikel Arteta’s side.

Reacting after the match, the Norwegian striker admitted frustration inside the squad and said the players must carry that feeling into next season.
He said: “In the end, every game in the Premier League is difficult.
“We tried.
“It wasn’t enough.”
Haaland stressed that Manchester City should not accept finishing second and insisted the disappointment must become motivation.
“The whole Club should use this as motivation now.
“We should be angry, we should feel a fire inside our belly because it’s not good enough.
“It’s gone two years now, it feels like forever.
“We’re going to do everything we can, everyone that will be here next season, to win the league,” he said.
The striker also admitted City struggled physically and emotionally after their FA Cup final victory over Chelsea days earlier.
Haaland said: “It’s never easy to come here, especially after a final against a really good team.
“Finals are always more emotional, it’s always more difficult because you automatically give more.
